Chuku Chuku

Economist at International Monetary Fund

Chuku Chuku is an Economist in the Debt Policy Division of the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department of the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he was Division Manager (OIC) for the Macroeconomic Policy, Debt Sustainability and Forecasting Division of the African Development Bank where he had previously served as Chief Research Economist in the same Division. Chuku started his career as an Economist at the Central Bank of Nigeria and later moved on Lecturing/Assistant Professor at the University of Uyo, Nigeria and the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He holds an M.A in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Canada and a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. His research interests and publications span across development macroeconomics, monetary policy, sovereign debt, energy efficiency, and state fragility.
