Alexander Jung

Alexander Jung is Principal Economist in the Directorate General Monetary Policy of the European Central Bank. Prior to this role, he held the position of Senior Economist at the European Monetary Institute (1997-98) and the Deutsche Bundesbank (1992-97). His research encompasses a range of topics, including monetary economics, macroeconomics, monetary policy decision-making, communication, banking, and experimental economics. He has more than 30 years of experience in central banking and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.
