A More Sustainable Future for Refugees and Host Communities
By 2030, FCV countries will be home to up to 2/3 of the world’s extreme poor. Both low- and middle-income countries are affected by fragility risks, some far away from where the problems start. Violent conflict has spiked dramatically since 2010, and the fragility landscape is becoming more complex.
The objective of the FCV Strategy is to enhance our effectiveness to support countries in addressing the drivers and impacts of FCV and strengthening their resilience.
The list of fragile and conflict-affected situations (FCS) is released annually and aims to inform strategic and operational decision-making within the World Bank Group.
