*** BVT will destroy the criminal bar – high level seminar to discuss implications – 11 June 2009 4.30pm London *** This high level seminar has been organised at the request of a number of barristers urgently seeking answers to the complex questions posed by the BVT consultation. It is predicted that as many as 85% of criminal firms will be wiped out in the next 2 years – with vast implications for the criminal bar. The LSC are quite content for the bar to think that it does not affect them – do not fall into that trap. Attendance is essential for chambers clerks, practice managers and the senior bar. The proposals will be put into context and the serious implications for the bar mapped out. The wider question of alternative business structures will also be addressed. Speakers: Rodney Warren and Andrew Keogh.
