The UMass Extension Fruit Program's mission is to assist fruit growers with all aspects of horticultural and pest management. It is part of the Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment within the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Massachusetts.

    UMass Amherst Agriculture Programs Remain No. 1 in U.S. Rankings

    For the sixth consecutive year, UMass Amherst maintained it rank as No. 1 in the U.S. and No. 8 globally in the Agricultural Sciences category, which includes horticulture, food science and nutrition, dairy science and agronomy programs at 500 institutions.

    This year marked the successful completion of the fourth UMass Extension Fruit Team and Stockbridge School of Agriculture’s REEU internship: "Engaging Undergraduates in Research and Extension Training using Technology and Experiential Learning to Enhance Sustainability of Food Production Systems".
