Dr. S. Srikumar, Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, is a distinguished professional with over 35 years of leadership experience in the Indian power sector, spanning manufacturing, EPC, project development, engineering, and R&D. Having successfully established more than 100 coal, gas, and solar power projects, he brings deep technical expertise and strategic insight to his role at TMV. As Chairman of Powertec Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and Mantech Synergies Pvt. Ltd., he has overseen major functions including engineering specifications, project package development, bid evaluation, detailed engineering review, project monitoring, inspection, erection and commissioning, and optimization of operation and maintenance practices. His career includes significant roles such as Design and Development Engineer at Best & Crompton Engineering Ltd., where he contributed to equipment design, maintenance, vendor development, and performance monitoring, and Director at AIA Engineering Ltd. and Promac Engineering Industries Ltd., where he led global optimization programs, business planning, turnkey project execution, financial closure, and technical services. Known for his sincerity, diligence, and result-oriented approach, Dr. Srikumar has strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication across multicultural environments. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, with academic foundations from premier institutions including IIT Delhi and Delhi University. A Chartered and Professional Engineer and a member of AIMA, he has also undergone international training in engineering, manufacturing, and management practices in the UK, Belgium, and Singapore.
