I am lucky to own some really good Daiwa gear Glen.I was able to land my 30kg YFT in 3 mins mainly because I hooked it close to the boat and kept the fish off balance by changing the rod angles which disoriented the fish so it didn't go for a run or manage to dive on 24kg line.My mates did have to struggle a bit ,one took nearly 20mins to the gaff !

My training on Hoodlum Kings was also invaluable.PS that is one of my mates in the pic
