Experienced campaigner John Parrott won his 15th title by beating Welshman Mark J Williams 6-4 in the final.

In addition to the first prize of �25,000 he also wins the �1,000 high break award with the 130 total clearance he made in the semi-finals. Williams pockets �16,000 for his runner-up position.

The momentum swung throughout the match but it was Parrott who made the fewest mistakes and deservably clinched the title with a solid 79 in the last frame.
