A meeting of the subject Taskgroup was called for Wednesday, 16 October 2002, from 1030 to 1200 hours Central Daylight Time, in Room 306E of the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX, USA. Before that meeting convened, the Academy accepted the preliminary report of the Taskgroup, adopted it as a Final Report, and disbanded the group. A follow-on group is being proposed, to be tasked with examining an alternative proposal for implementing a lunar farside radio laboratory in Daedelus Crater.
