    Glycolysis is a very inefficient method of ATP production, as only 2 ATP molecules are formed. On the contrary, it is approximately 100 times faster than aerobic respiration [42]. Cells using Warburg effect obtain most of their ATP through glycolysis, even if they have enough oxygen and consequently, the formation of ATP by OXPHOS is significantly suppressed.
