The second Our Generation Film Festival highlighted the growing creative energy among young filmmakers across the Arab world – and the role of SAT-7 in giving their voices a platform.

After a four-year break, Pleasant Chat – SAT-7 TÜRK’s popular Azeri-language talk show – is back. This uplifting Bible-based program, which emphasises the value of women in God’s eyes, is badly needed in a country that lacks resources aimed at Christian women.

For countless viewers across the Middle East and North Africa, faith is a solitary, dangerous road. Some are physically cut off from other Christians; others sit in busy cities yet feel emotionally alone in their walk with God. Many are persecuted simply for their beliefs.

The harsh realities of conflict, poverty and persecution are prompting many people in the Persian-speaking world to ask difficult questions about evil and suffering. Is It God’s Fault? is a new SAT-7 PARS program that is meeting viewers in their pain and lovingly guiding them to biblical answers.

In a region where young people often feel unheard, SAT-7’s Youth for an Enabling Society (YES)project is empowering them to create and showcase their own stories through its internship training scheme and youth film festival, which has been attracting national media attention.
