Rupert Read – Convening the Climate Majority

I have spent decades in climate advocacy, politics and media. Now, I’m bringing people together to drive action at scale.

The Climate Majority Project

Most people sense that we’re in deep trouble with climate breakdown, and they want to do something. Many have already begun.

I founded the Climate Majority Project in 2023 to bring together the millions who care deeply about climate and nature but don’t see themselves as activists. As Co-Director, I help people turn that concern into practical action in their communities, professions and daily lives.

In a short time, the CMP has engaged thousands, launched dozens of initiatives, and been featured in The Guardian, BBC and LBC. Our mission is simple: to turn widespread concern into a powerful movement big enough to change the future.

Transformative Adaptation
Another world is still just possible

Climate disruption is already here. Preventing worse is essential, but so is adapting wisely. Transformative Adaptation explores how communities, organisations and governments can build resilience while advancing justice and real change.

This book shows how adaptation can be more than survival – it can be a chance to reshape our future for the better.

Parents for a Future
How loving our children can prevent climate collapse

If we truly care for our children, we must also care for the generations to come – and for the natural world on which their lives depend. Parents for a Future sets out this simple but radical logic of care, offering both a wake-up call and a path to hope.
