Bloomington:
McPherson Theatre
The Arrowhead Lanes was built in 1961. The basement bar was known as the Tip-of-the-Arrow Lounge. For more, see this website. [map]
The Trim 'N Tidy Cleaners was built in 1963. For more, see this website. [map]
The former Meigs Field Terminal and Control Tower was a single runway airport. The control tower was built in 1952 and the terminal in 1961. The airport closed in 2003. The terminal now houses the Northerly Island Visitor Center. [map]
Pride Cleaners was designed by Gerald Siegwart and built in 1959. The building features a concrete hyperbolic parabola roof and the original sign. Chain link fencing has been installed to discourage skateboarders from using the roof. There was another location in Chicago which is gone now. [map]
