Regional Workshop on eBeam and X-ray Technologies Hosted in Incheon, KoreaRegional Workshop for Driving Sustainable Innovation: eBeam and X-ray Technologies for the Future 21-23 October 2025, Incheon, Republic of Korea The RCA Regional Office (RCARO), in collaboration with the U.S. DOE NNSA ORS (Office of Radiological Security), officially opened the Regional Workshop for Driving Sustainable Innovation: eBeam and X-ray Technologies for the Future on 21 October 2025 in Incheon, Republic of Korea. During the opening, Mr. Woo Jin Lee, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea, delivered his congratulatory remarks and encouraged all participants to actively engage throughout the workshop. Over the next three days, this workshop aims to review and discuss progress made for Expert Mission target countries under the project and discuss national experiences, including feasibility studies and success stories, in adopting and applying eBeam/X-ray technologies across sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to explore practical solutions tailored to their national needs, gain insights from success stories in technology implementation, and engage in consultations with regional experts.

Announcement of 2026 RCA-KINGS Master’s Degree ProgrammeDear National RCA Representatives, It is my great honor and pleasure to announce that the RCA-KINGS Master's Degree Programme for 2026 is now open for application to the RCA Government Parties. This programme, conducted in cooperation with KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), aims to foster global-level energy policy decision-makers and executives of the RCA Government Parties. The Department of Energy Policy and Engineering at KINGs offers a two-year scholarship programme comprising both coursework and a thesis research project. Successful candidates will be awarded a Master of Engineering (ME) or Master of Science (MS) from KINGS. It is encouraged that applicants send all required documents including a letter of recommendation from respective National RCA Representative to KINGS by 2 November 2025(extended deadline). RCARO Hosted Promotional Booth at Atoms for a Healthy Planet: Tackling Transboundary Issues in DaejeonThe Atoms for a Healthy Planet: Tackling Transboundary Issues event was held on October 20, 2025, at the Hotel ICC in Daejeon, Republic of Korea. The event aimed to contribute to addressing complex global challenges facing humanity—including environmental protection, public health, food security, and infectious diseases—through the application of nuclear science and technology. The RCA Regional Office (RCARO) participated in the event by hosting a promotional booth to raise awareness of the RCA’s mission and key achievements, and to engage with stakeholders from various nuclear-related organizations. Through active engagement with participants from government agencies and industry, RCARO sought to strengthen cooperation, explore new partnership opportunities, and expand outreach efforts within the nuclear community. The exhibition also provided an opportunity to enhance the visibility of the RCA’s regional cooperation initiatives and to highlight its contributions to promoting the peaceful uses of nuclear technology in addressing transboundary issues.
