Hatsutaka Class, Japanese Minelayers

Specifications:

The Hatsutakas were completed in 1939-41 at Harima. They were dual-purpose minelayers/net tenders with both coal and fuel oil bunkerage. They were a good minelayer design but were converted to escort work as the Japanese became more desperate to stop the Allied submarine offensive.
