Gestamp Hotstamping Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Gestamp (Head office: Spain), the world's largest manufacturer of automotive metal stamping parts has decided to construct a new plant building on the company's premises, in order to respond to the increased demand from Japanese automobile manufacturers. The first factory plant was constructed in Ureshino Industrial Park in 2018. Based on this decision, Mr. Toshiya Hara, Plant Manager of the company, and Mr. Masato Takegami, Mayor of Matsusaka City, have signed the agreement in the presence of prefectural observers at the Matsusaka City Hall on May 25. The demand for automotive parts is growing due to the shift to EV. Mie prefecture will cooperate with Matsusaka City to support the smooth construction and operation for Gestamp Hotstamping Japan’s new plant.
