FOOTNOTES
Lat/Long values were mostly computer generated from 3" DEMs by
WINPROM, and may diverge from the true summit location.
[8] Strawberry Mtn., the NGVD29 elevation is 9038'. The
topographic map shows a tiny 9040' contour next to the summit elevation.
[48] There are two areas on top of Prairie Peak, the likely
summit is 3400+40 and straddles the Benton/Lane County line, to the
east is a spot elevation of 3422 which lies wholly within Lane County.
[70] Beatys Butte Key Saddle is in a badlands area in
Northern Nevada and was previously given a range of P2018 to
P2219. John Kirk has identified a saddle at 5863', giving the
peak an exact prominence value of P2055.
[E1] Bryant Mtn. is not a contender for P2000, but is included
on
this list for completeness. Key Saddle is an artificial berm
along the back end of Clear Creek Reservoir, CA. The reservoir
has a surface elevation
of 4477, therefore
the original saddle may have been a bit lower.
