This
photo of Central American Pygmy-Owl shows the grey colors in its face,
fontside markings (chest, flanks, and belly) and crest spotting. These
are defining markings that differentiate it from similar species. This
photo was taken in the Veragua Rainforest of Costa Rica in March of
2011.
