Why Non-Atari Systems?!

You might notice a few game systems and computers being brought that were not of the Atari brand! Don't fret, they were running Atari games!

Atari Games' "Tengen" division ported their arcade games (like Klax and RoadBlasters) to a number of home game consoles, including the Nintendo NES and Sega Genesis. Some arcade games from the Atari Inc. era were also licensed to other publishers, for release on the NES. Even earlier, Atari Inc.'s "Atarisoft" divison ported arcade games by Atari (like Asteroids and Crystal Castles) and others (like Namco's Pole Position and Williams Electronic's Joust and Robotron: 2084) to a variety of early 1980s home computers, like the Apple II, Commodore 64 and BBC Micro!

More recently, Activision and the current Atari have released ports or emulators of both classic arcade games and Atari 2600 titles for modern game systems, like the Nintendo GameBoy Advance and the Sony's PlayStation and PlayStation 2.
