Placed in service at Mare Island Navy Yard, 8 August 1944

During World War II Minooka (YTB-257) was Service Squadron Two

Following World War II Minooka was assigned to Occupation and China service for the following periods

Assigned to Naval Operating Base, Okinawa, 11 August 1945

Damaged by Typhoon Louise, 9 October 1945, while at Okinawa

Placed out of service and sold, 30 May 1947, to the Nationalist Chinese Board of Supplies

Struck from the Navy Register, 10 June 1947
