Port side view while underway, date and location unknown but note that she only has one forward and one aft AN/SPG-55 radar so this is probably soon after commissioning. There was a shortage of these antennas as the (then) new MK-76 MFCS equipped ships were being built due to a strike at Sperry Rand (the manufacturer) and many of these ships were commissioned with only one radar per launcher until production could catch up with demand. At the time, Halsey still only carried two of the four total AN/SPG-55B missile targeting radars it was designed to carry. Those other two were later installed not long after Halsey’s return to home port San Diego in 1973.
