If you are numbering the paths in a classical seven-circuit labyrinth from outside in, you walk them in the order: 3-2-1-4-7-6-5-8.
If you use the notes of our musical scale to replace the numbers by beginning with a middle C for the 1, D = 2, E = 3, F = 4, G = 5, A = 6, H = 7, and the C one octave up for the 8, you will get: E-D-C-F-H-A-G-C.
If you are playing the notes in the same order as you walk the paths, you will get the melody of the labyrinth.
