NexTrex Recycling Challenge
The Friends of Millbrook Library are excited to participate in the Trex Community Recycling Challenge, a nationwide program that supports local recycling efforts. We’re working to collect at least 1,000 pounds of soft plastic film and packaging within a 12-month period—and we need your help!
If we reach our goal, the library will be awarded a Trex bench made from recycled materials, a lasting symbol of our community’s commitment to sustainability.
Here’s how you can help:
- Starting July 1st, 2025, drop off clean, dry plastic film and packaging at the designated collection bin in the library.
- Items accepted include grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, plastic shipping envelopes, and more.
- We’ll be tracking our progress throughout the year—check back for updates!
We’re excited to announce the brand new Mid-Hudson Libraries App! This is your all-in-one tool for accessing library resources across all 66 member libraries in the Mid-Hudson Library System.
With the app, you can:
- Use a digital library card to check out items
- Search the catalog, place holds, and renew books
- Find nearby libraries with directions and contact info
- Manage multiple accounts (perfect for families!)
- Stay connected to your home library’s events, social media, and digital collections
