"Biogenetic Blooms" is a series of floral inspired paintings made with genetically modified Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S. cerevisiae, commonly known as "Baker’s yeast" ) and Escherichia coli (E.coli) bacteria. The images are painted on Petri dishes by hand and Opentrons liquid-handling robots that were formerly used for COVID testing. "Biogenetic Blooms" probes the overlaps of humans, nature, and technology.
