2. Training Courses, Workshops and Seminars

2-1 South Africa-Japan Technical Workshop on Water-Related Disaster Management and Infrastructure Management

South Africa-Japan Technical Workshop on water-related disaster management and infrastructure management was hosted in South Africa from 25 to 29 Aug 2014 by the Department of Water Affairs and Sanitation, South Africa (DWS) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan(MLIT). DWS, National Disaster Management Center (NDMC), South African Weather Service (SAWS), etc. from South Africa side, and MLIT from Japan side, gave presentations and held enthusiastic discussions. In addition, the delegation from Japan made site visits to Vaal dam, Rust de Winter dam, Hartbeespoort dam, etc.
