Biting Commentary about Infinity, and Beyond!

By a scientist. I found his inaugural post quite interesting, about the tension between science and religion, as well as this more recent follow up to one of my comments in the post about the two cultures.

Check it out.

Now I'm no Talmudic scholar but I'm not sure it supports questioning God. He shows no examples to support his statement; his "example" from the bible comes from a web site called

skepticsannotatedbible.com

Interesting that. I like all the little icons on the side of the pages on their website.

"WE DECIDE, WE REPORT"

How seriously would he, or you for that matter, take a religious persons views of science if the persons examples came from a website called skepticsannotatedsciencefacts.com, and the site looked and sounded the way his source sounds and looks?

His science is the science of inference, he produces nothing of merit to support his hypothesis, and he draws conclusions about SOMEONE else?s belief system based not on good sources of the oppositions reference material, i.e. the Talmud and the Bible, but on sources HE BELIEVS in.

Me thinks he doth protest too much!! This guy has a moral fight going on between his ears, he will both drastically reject his current life and beliefs and become a religious person, or he will drive himself nuts with self doubts concerning his scientific life. I'm sure you have seen the syndrome before. And I don't think it will be long into the future when he decides which way to go.
