Southkill
Southkill (Noreaster Failed Industries)By:
Alex Steininger Southkill, co-founded by
Noreaster Zine's co-founder John Dudley, unleash mayhem on their self-titled debut, a thirty-six minute, five-track, primarily instrumental album awash with layers of guitars. From the harsh and abrasive to the subconscious and mellow, the album takes you down several paths on its journey - on your journey - as you both bond, forming a mutual friendship with each other. The songs are powerful and moving, the carefully constructed layers each working with each other to full absorb the listeners in a world of noise and silence, both of which come together and live in harmony on Southkill's debut. I'll give it a B+.
