Andrott, spread over an area of 4.84 sq km, has a unique east-west orientation unlike the other islands, which lie in the north-south direction. The island is thick with the plantation of coconut trees and is the only island in the archipelago where the plantation has not intruded into the low lying areas in the middle of the island. As there is no lagoon the island lacks the facility for shallow fishing. Small species of octopus are caught during the neap tides and the islanders consider it as a great delicacy.
Major points of tourist attraction include the Tomb of Saint Hazrat Ubaidullah and several Buddhist archaeological remains. Accommodation facilities are available at Dak Bungalow.
