To install these "portable" programs just unzip the downloaded files to a new folder. On your local HD or SSD use a folder outside the "C:\Program Files" structure to allow data storage in the program folder, which is the default behaviour of these programs. Create a folder under "C:\Tools\" or "C:\Users\[Name]\", for example, and make a shortcut of the EXE file on your Desktop.
