The GAA published a report that takes stock of our collective accomplishments against our four nature commitments. Download the report to learn more about the GAA’s commitments on nature, progress so far, and thoughts for the future.
The GAA released a report emphasizing the critical role of corporate natural capital accounting (CNCA) in enabling businesses to enhance resilience and create value through nature-positive initiatives, illustrating how accountants are ideally positioned to promote the adoption of CNCA in the marketplace.
The Global Accounting Alliance (GAA) was formed in November 2005 and serves as a forum for 10 of the world’s leading professional accountancy bodies whose members practice in major capital markets.
Its purpose is to serve the public interest by leading the advancement of a high-quality accounting profession by sharing information and collaborating, among GAA Members, and advocating on international issues important to the profession.
The GAA’s Members include the following professional accountancy bodies:
The GAA has four permanent Working Groups. The purpose of a Working Group is to facilitate information sharing and collaboration among Member Body staff; to meet with key national and international stakeholders; and to lead the advancement of the accounting profession by undertaking special projects from time-to-time as directed by the Board and CEO.
