Getting to Galway and back

♦ Airlines and Airports
♦ Bus
♦ Cabs
♦ Car Hire
♦ Ferry Services to Aran Islands
♦ Limousine Hire
♦ Train

Transport in Ireland has become faster, cheaper and more efficient in recent times. We've moved on from the jaunting car and pony to express trains, fast motorways and a modern efficient bus system.

You can get to Galway quicker than you ever could before and you have a greater choice of efficient transport than was previously available. Funds from the European Regional Development Fund have changed the landscape of Ireland forever.

Modern motorways by-pass the smaller towns thus reducing your time of travel and increasing your comfort on the road. More people drive into Galway than use any other means of transport. To have an efficient road system is of benefit to everybody.

Galway is Ireland's second largest county and Galway City is an ideal base for touring around whether by bus, car or hitching.

Check out the smaller back roads as you travel around-thats what our motorways were like. Bet you're glad you came after we joined the EU!.
