英語学習のための Useful Sites
英語学習に活用できる useful sites は多くありますが、ここでは、「工学英語」担当の野口ジュディー先生お薦めのサイトを紹介します。
- 発音練習ができるもの
- リスニング練習などができるESL学習教材
- ニュースが聞けるもの
- 最新の科学情報が聞ける科学ジャーナルpodcast
- 映画、詩、有名なスピーチなどを取り扱った文化サイト
- 辞書やリファレンス
- オンラインテストができるサイト
- (少し専門的になりますが)コンコーダンスプログラムなどのコーパスツールなど、様々なものがあります。また、
- カリフォルニア大学バークレー校、スタンフォード大学、マサチューセッツ工科大学、デューク大学等の米国著名大学から提供を受けたコンテンツを米国アップル社が配信している iTunes University もお薦めです。
これらは無料ウエブサイトで、podcastやwebcastで音声や映像が利用できるほか、transcript(原稿)が提供されているものも多くあり、英語学習には大いに役立ちます。
「工学英語Ⅱ」では、これらのサイトを活用した演習を取り入れています。
