This is a lecture series hosted jointly between the Fields Institute and the Department of Computer Science of the University of Toronto in memory of Avner Magen (1968-2010).

The series was established in 2011 with an inaugural lecture by Professor Nathan Linial of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, title: "What is high dimensional combinatorics?"

Since 2012, the series has been held at the Fields Institute.
