This focused event will bring together a small, interdisciplinary group of scientists from diverse fields—including network theory, complex systems, and systems neuroscience—to explore cutting-edge research on spatiotemporal patterns of neural activity, methods for studying these dynamics, and their role in supporting computation in the brain.The symposium will feature a limited number of talks, with an emphasis on fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations. Our goal is to foster an interactive setting where ideas and methodologies from diverse disciplines can be exchanged, paving the way for new approaches to understanding spatiotemporal computation in the brain. To this end, we invite you to give a talk that focuses on central ideas and questions of your research, in a way that can help spark discussion with colleagues across neuroscience, mathematics, and physics. This symposium is an initiative from the recently created Fields lab for Network Science, which aims to develop new perspectives in network science and computational neuroscience.
