I just created a new ice cream emoticon. Yep I drew that pixel by pixel using Fireworks MX. Hope you find it handy...

At about 3am I woke up to some really loud and unfamilar noises. Ambrogio got up to see what it was (my foot was "asleep"). It sounded like someone was maybe breaking into the cars or something. Turns out there was a big brown dog out there behind my car. It whimpered a little but we didn't think anything of it since it got quiet. We figured it was just a stray. I heard more whimpering at about 6:30am so I got up this time and went to the window. The dog was apparently stuck; he'd wrapped his long leash around one of the poles that hold up the carport. Animal Control doesn't open until 7:30am and by now it was 7 when I decided to go outside and take a picture of it. (Camera battery died before I could snap the picture.) Gaetano watched from the window amused and laughing. Just then, a neighbor came out and indicated that the dog may belong to someone across the street. I went over there to ask, and sure enough it was "Bailey", their dog. Bailey jumped up and down and wagged his tail when he saw his master. It took him about 5 minutes to untangle the dog's 25 foot leash. The clasp was stuck under the tire of my car which is what got the dog stuck originally, but then he paniced and got himself wrapped around the pole numerous times in a tangled mess. Once "Bailey" was free he came to me as if to say thanks, and I introduced myself. All is well now, and Bailey has gone back home where he belongs.

A photo "Angela & Bailey" in the Photo Gallery -> Friends would be OK.
Lol, I don't think we really became friends that quick. If we do, I'll be sure to take a picture. ~Angela
I've just added a new "Stuff" section to the navigation. I needed somewhere to put my MSN Messenger 6 emoticons for sharing. I'm not sure what else will end up in this section yet...might be interesting, might be boring. Who knows? Who cares? :-)

No matter how bad a day is, it always brightens when you hear your efforts have influenced someone else in some way, no matter how small. I got a little bit of that today when Tom showed me a comment on his blog that was in reference to DWmommy (or at least "net mommies" in general). Thanks jjshea. :-)

"Christmas 2002 was celebrated at my parent's home where I grew up in Whittier, California. There's only one picture right now, but I have others that will go up eventually...maybe!"
I assume grew up in Whittier would mean you grew up in Whittier...
Lol, I forgot about that! I guess I'd better find a way to search the photo galleries to ;-) I thought you'd really done some homework or something... Whittier's a small town. I used to work across the street from the college at California Grill. Depending on when you were in college, and if you ate there, we may have met even. Small world, isn't it? :-) ~Angela

Trip...Okay, I am a big Tom Muck reader..no big surprise. So I preorder his new book..find the companion site and read his blog...I notice that you enhanced the site so I had to check your site out...I think it is awesome and really meant what I said about the net mommies..(btw..lynn can be found at http://www.mcsemom.com/) really great work, so hats off to both of you...now for the trippy part, I also grew up in Whittier, CA. In fact Whittier College was my skate park...I think Security there still has a wanted poster of me posted.. ;) and those No skateboards signs throughout Uptown..yup partially my fault, I had friends. Anyway...small world..nice to find your resource..
ps sorry for the small book.
Wait... how'd you know I grew up in Whittier? <eyebrow raised="left" /> ... ~Angela
Some words just don't mean anything like what they appear they might. Fugacious, Meriam Webster's Word of the Day for July 5th, is a perfect example of such a word. Before you click the link to see what it means, Add a Comment and tell me your guess. :-)

fugacious= full of fragmented unrecoginizable gigabit accounts containing irregular overloaded universal scripts...or is that just my brain on php, c#, asp.net, actionscript, and javascript?
My vote would be it is your brain. :-) ~Angela

Fugacious:
1. To have a fuggish quality
2. SuperKalaFragalisticExpiAlFugacious
Use in a sentence: Here is my beautiful friend. Her name is "Acious". Wouldn't you like to Fugacious?
ROTFLMAO :-) I almost didn't approve this, only because I want other people to add their comments. Let's see if anyone can top your response! :-) ~Angela
