"Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it." ~Ellen Goodman

I'm not normal; I work from home. So what's my normal?
Normal is wearing comfy casual clothes, never dealing with traffic (unless you count the occasional Hot Wheel car left in the hallway) on the way to my office, enjoying the home I live in, and working hard to afford the luxury of working from home.
I wouldn't have it any other way... ~Angela

"I think we should write Amazon and encourage them to have an 'exposure day' once a year. That day they lift the veil and everyone gets to see who bashed you. Heck I think they'd get a ton of traffic and probably even sell a few books, the papers would report on it. Of course there'd be a brief peak in the homicide [and] suicide rates shortly afterwards, but whatever. Its all in good fun."

As an author myself, having had at least one totally bogus review that was probably made by a competitor, I think the idea of 'exposure day' is great.
I've never met Christine, having only communicated with her via email. I'd bet that her books are just as humorous and fun to read as her emails are.

"This is where most people fail in my opinion...they believe that by purchasing a boxed solution they will not have to learn how to do basic programming! That is they believe this until they actually have the boxed solution installed than find out that everything from their own ISP's configurations to cross browser problems has an effect on their 100% plug and pray solution."~Redmanz

Whoever decided to call it a funny bone had a very sick sense of humor... ~Angela

Have you every watched someone hit their "funny bone" ? It will happen one day and you'll see why it is funny. On the other hand I once heard a girl let go a string of profanities when she hit her funny bone.
You were there when I hit mine? ;-) ~Angela

LOL!
Am in the middle of reading your excellent (with Joseph Lowery) Dreamweaver MX 2004 Killer Tips.
It is a really great book that has added some much needed "humour" to our user group library.
Many thanks!
Thanks Peter! Glad to hear you're enjoying it. It's not easy being funny; it's so much easier being punny. ;-)
One reader wrote to tell us that it makes great bathroom reading. I suppose if it makes you laugh hard enough, you'd be in the right place! <reaction eyes="wide" jaw="dropped" />... Did I really just type that? Seriously though, I can be blamed for any of the really bad humour, except when it's Joe's fault...;-) ~Angela

Ah, I haven't noticed that category "Quotes". It's OK.
I will try to be more serious then - but no promises.

wm
:-) No worries... and I'd never expect you to be serious! ;-)
Take care, ~Angela

You see, already the second entry in your blog within only one week. Keep blogging!
Btw, shouldn't you add in your Blog Categories a menu "Angela Said"? :-)

:-) Well, that's what the quotes category is for really. Things that people may decide to quote which they find here; things I find quotable and also quotes I like. The Gaetano Said category is special because it is all Gaetano and kids do say quite funny things. I figured some people may like one but not the other category... ~Angela
