‘The Big Bang Theory’ Negotiations Update: Production Start Date Pushed To Next Wednesday As Talks Continue

After taking things day by day on Wednesday and Thursday, I’ve learned that Warner Bros TV has tentatively slated production on Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory to start next Wednesday, August 6. That is a week after the CBS series’ eighth season was originally supposed to kick off with a table read last Wednesday, July 31. Of course, holding the postponed table read on August 6 will be contingent on the five original cast members closing new deals. I hear talks continue with Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. The contracts of all five expired at the end of last season. The only Big Bang cast members who have deals in place and available to start work immediately are Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, who renegotiated their contracts last fall.

For now there is no dange[画像:The-big-bang-theory-cast-the-big-bang-theory-29119587-800-564][画像:The-big-bang-theory-cast-the-big-bang-theory-29119587-800-564]r of Big Bang not being able to make its hourlong premiere on September 22. There is talk that the delay might lead to a minimal order reduction from 24 to 23 episodes, but I hear that could be avoided by shortening planned hiatuses or extending production in the spring. Like the 2010 salary renegotiations, Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco would likely end up with equal pay, more than doubling and likely tripling their most recent salary of 350,000ドル an episode as well as their current back-end ownership, said to be around .25 point. Helberg and Nayyar, who are once again negotiating together, raised their per-episode fee to more than 100,000ドル an episode in the 2010 renegotitions. I hear they may be looking to close the salary gap with their three original cast mates.

bigbang-theorybigbang-theoryThe Big Bang cast negotiations are going on during the Emmy voting period. with co-star Parsons seeking his fourth win for best actor in a comedy series and the show looking to score its first best series win. (Bialik also is in the running for best supporting actress.) The 2010 salary renegotiations also coincided with Emmy voting. There was no impact as Parsons scored his first Emmy that year. Similarly, the dramatic 2012 salary renegotiations for the cast of Modern Family, which concluded just before the second phase of Emmy voting began, were not a factor as the show won both acting categories it was eligible for — supporting actress in a comedy series (Julie Bowen) and supporting actor in a comedy series (Eric Stonestreet) — as well as best comedy series.

headlines or bi lines the cast for BIG BANG is in cinc with the times. tired of the negotiations…Charles Sheen…. They deserve this.

  • Jokes

Why not fire the actors agents for breach of contract, inducing a deal that results in a harm or bad publicity to the actors career.

For those of you calling the cast greedy, keep in mind that Ashton Kutcher is making 750,000 per episode of two and a half men which doesn’t not have the ratings that Big Bang does. CBS has been under paying these actors for years for this show and both the studio and CBS are making a huge profit on this show. they want to make the cast seem greedy which is why they are pushing production and dragging their feet on a deal. TBBT also finishes at the top of the ratings chart even when they run repeats of this show on other networks. And I think everyone in the cast should all get paid the exact same thing. Yes , the salaries are ridiculous, but all of the salaries of actors and reality stars on TV are ridiculous and so is the amount the network is making off of this show. At least the actors have talent. But the Big Bang Theory consistently gets much higher ratings than any other show. The crew and very talented writers should definitely get a substantial share of the profits too. I would love to know what they are getting paid. If the network and studio don’t agree to a deal soon, they run the risk of possibly. turning. The public against this show all so they can keep a little extra profit.

      Ashton kutcher is an enigma.
Now he is WORTH a million standing in front of a camera, as in a commercial ,
which he probably has made many; in print ads, again many many. He made several of his own shows that were tremendous successes and high profile.
When he was seventeen he WON a best looking male model contest in the world!!!!!!
Where have YOU been, comparing Ashton k to this group.
Way way way outa line here.
And I saw him in person once he has a sparkle halo like dazzle around him, like same as charasmatic world reknowned people,

  • Fun movie

The only thing that could save face now is if they made a movie.
Like the Disney channel get a lot of promo for their tv shows by having
intermittent movies with the same cast but go on an adventure outside of the regular weekly show storylines.
Big bang theory goes to India with the cool India guy character and meets the family.
