Texas Instruments 45? We were really surprised to locate in December 2021 this unusual looking calculator on the Italian eBay site. It is obvious that the model 45 - manufactured exclusively for Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth - is based on the European TI-45 but changed the appearance dramatically by replacing the black faceplate with a yellow-brown one.

Dismantling this model 45 manufactured in February 1978 by Texas Instruments in their Rieti, Italy facility reveals a standard TI-45 printed circuit board (PCB) with the well-known TMC1983 single-chip calculator circuit.

Interesting to see the model 45 pictured on the Koh-I-Noor product manual with a faceplate colored like a Business Analyst-I.

Don't miss the similar looking model 40 and the model Studio 29.
