What Parents Say
Tara Noem, Scouting Mom
It has been such a joy as a parent to watch both of my sons grow in their comfort level with outdoor activities and leadership through their Scouting journeys from cubs into the troop level. Now that our daughter just finished her first year in Cub Scouts as a Lion, Iβm more convinced than ever at the power of Scouting to foster both fun and family bonds as well as confidence and a sense of accomplishment for the kids who take part. As an employer, I wish every young person had the growth opportunities Scouting provides!
Mark Robinson, Eagle Scout Dad
Scouting has provided an opportunity to connect with my son and the other Scouts of the Troop to share my enthusiasm and passions of the outdoors, while providing for the community in a positive way. For both the adults and the Scouts, it is mixture of service to others, life lessons, learning, play, and caring for the environment. Scouting is full of opportunities that gets/keeps people active, moving and staying young, establishing and maintaining a connection with the natural world.
Nicole Sunderhaus, Cub Scout Mom
Scouting with my middle child has been a great opportunity for us to connect in a different way I may never have made happen otherwise. Serving as his Den Leader, I have been pushed to think outside the box and have found cool things to do to inspire him and his peers. My oldest child has become so independent in learning real life skills since stepping into his Troop. We are very grateful for the learning opportunities and flexibility that Scouting has given us, especially since my oldest participates in several sports and clubs.
