38 x 42 x 5 Prop
A 38x42x5 hyperform propeller was designed for me and it has made a huge difference on the pulling power of the boat. The engine is a lot quicker to respond now and sounds a lot better at the higher rpms plus there is no doubt that fuel is being saved and engine load is less

Great feedback from our friends at Ladybird Boat Trust. "Our passenger season has now finished, but for the last 2 months or so of it, the boat has been rattling and banging very badly. Surprisingly, no passengers complained. We did wonder at one point if something extreme might fall off or completely fail, but luck was on our side and we made it to the end of the season. For a number of years, Clements Engineering have been repairing our propellor each time boat is lifted out of water. This year was a bit different as the MCA insisted on seeing the shaft. Feeling certain they would condemn it, (even though there was not much wrong with it), we requested a replacement shaft, which was manufactured in good time. On top of this we had a problem with the lower bearing of our rudder. Paul met me at Westview Marina, Earith and took the rudder and bearing away with a view to manufacturing a replacement bearing. The rudder also needed some work on the lower shaft as it had become quite damaged. We are geographically very fortunate to be relatively close to Clements Engineering, but even more fortunate to receive such high standards of engineering and customer support from Clements and in particular Paul. We've recently manufactured a pair of 56" (1.42m) Hyperform propellers for a towing vessel. These weigh 200kg each and offer a balance between speed and towing power. Most heavy tug boats operate with nozzle propellers which offer high thrust but limited speed, when the client reached out requesting higher speed and a compromise on thrust. We therefore designed a propeller that could offer exactly what was required, produced patterns in house and manufactured according to our design. A local charity - the Ladybird Boat Trust recently invited us out on one of their river cruises. As their season draws to an end we will be having their propellers in for servicing in the next few weeks. The Ladybird Boat Trust (LBT) was set up in 2013 and is based at Hartford Marina near Huntingdon. The vessel Ladybird is wheelchair accessible and accommodates up to 20 passengers in a large heated cabin complete with kitchen and wheelchair accessible toilet facilities. The open foredeck area enables passengers to enjoy to the full the magnificent scenery and wildlife on the river.
