Source for phosphinothricin?

Dear netters,
I am looking for a source of reasonably priced phosphinothricin
(glufosinate) for selection of transgenic plants. SIGMA is selling 10 mg
for approximately 50 US$. With selecting concentrations between 20-100
mg/l this is quite steep. Are there any cheaper sources around
(prefferably in Europe)? Did anybody try to use the commercially
available herbicides (Basta, Liberty, Finale etc.) in tissue culture? Do
the "filling" components have negative effects on plants in vitro? Where
to buy small charges of those herbicides?
Any help and suggestion is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Klaus
