Georgia State is one of the nation’s premier urban public research universities, solving global challenges in human health. Researchers at Georgia State use the university’s state-of-the art facilities and work across disciplines to address critical quality of life issues, such as cancer, obesity, inflammation, vaccines, child and adult literacy, and public health issues related to smoking, among others.

College of Education & Human Development Names TCSG, Fulton County Schools as Recipients of the 2025 CEHD Partnership Award
Georgia State University’s College of Education & Human Development has named the Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Adult Education and Fulton County Schools’ Department of Professional Learning and Leadership Development as the 2025 recipients of its Partnership Award. The annual recognition highlights collaborations that strengthen educational practice, research and community impact.
The Office of Adult Education and Georgia State have worked together for decades to improve adult literacy, digital skills and evidence-based decision-making. Fulton County Schools’ long-standing partnership with the college supports new principal development, districtwide leadership pipelines and educator preparation programs. Both organizations were honored at the Partnership Award Luncheon on Nov. 13 for their sustained commitment to supporting learners and advancing workforce and leadership development across Georgia.
Georgia State University Earned Over 165ドル Million in Grants in FY ’25
Research grant awards at Georgia State University totaled 165ドル.86 million in fiscal year 2025. This is the fourth consecutive year that grant numbers have topped 160ドル million.
Georgia State is one of the handful of universities in the state with a prestigious R1 rating from the Carnegie Foundation, indicating the highest levels of research activity. In FY ’25, more than 1,250 research projects were funded.
Based on the number of publications that were produced throughout the year, the top research areas for FY ’25 include psychology, computer science, education/educational research, business economics and neuroscience/neurology.
