I would like to get this community's thoughts on the question of
ontology governance approaches. There is a wealth of information out
there about "data governance," which the Data Governance Institute
defines as:  (02)

The exercise of decision-making and authority for data-related
matters. The organizational bodies, rules, decision rights, and
accountabilities of people and information systems as they perform
information-related processes. Data Governance determines how an
organization makes decisions -- how we "decide how to decide." See

This is put forth as an example, not a One True Definition. I am
curious whether the approach to "data governance" extends well to
"data model governance" or "ontology governance", or whether there are
important distinctions that I should consider. Any best practices for
ontology governance?  (05)
