The Second Kepler Science Conference will be held at the NASA Research Park (NRP) Building 152. The NRP is adjacent to NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA 94035; see map at right.

  • Wireless internet will be available during the meeting. You will receive log on instructions at the meeting. Access is limited but should suffice for this meeting.
  • Copying and printing capabilities are not available at Bldg 152.
  • Public computers are not available in Bldg 152.
  • Check with the registration desk for break out meeting space availability in Building 152.
  • Bldg 152 has strict closing time hours, enforced by NASA Security.
  • Power to charge laptops will not be available in the plenary meeting room. However, staff will provide charging areas with surge protectors for your laptops elsewhere.
  • Coffee will be available each morning in Building 152 along with the ability to purchase light snacks.
  • Box lunches may be ordered each day for 8ドル; orders must be placed by the morning break and will be delivered to Building 152 for pickup. Lunch will also be available in the Barcelona Cafe in Building 3 however seating is limited.

Accommodation Information

NASA Exchange Lodge (NEL)

Attendees may stay on-site at the NASA Exchange Lodge where rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. We have reserved a total of 200 beds in 167 rooms; most rooms have one bed, however there are a limited number of 2 bed rooms available. Rooms are available for 65ドル in Building 19 and for 55ドル in Building 583 (see map)

Reservations can be made by calling (650) 603-7100 and identifying yourself as part of the KEPLER 2013 BLOCK. The deadline to make reservations is Oct. 3, 2013 after which un-reserved NEL rooms will be released. For after hours access to the NEL, you must enter the NASA Research Park main gate, tell the guards you are staying at the NEL, and show your ID.

Note that dinner options within walking distance of the NEL are limited, although communal kitchens are available.

Getting to Moffett Field/NASA Ames Research Center

By Air:

The three major airports near NASA Ames are listed below along with their ground transportation options. Shared shuttle rides typically cost between 15ドル-25ドル with taxis/limos costing up to 150ドル.

By Car:


Entering and Parking at NASA Ames

At the NRP gate, all attendees will be asked "Where are you going?" The reply is "To Building 152, Second Kepler Science Conference."

US citizens and legal residents: to enter the NRP, a government issued photo-identification is required: be prepared to show a driver's license or passport.

Foreign national attendees: be prepared to show your passport and visa at the entrance.

There is ample parking adjacent to Building 152 (see map above).
