A two-day national training in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia focused on strengthening country-level inter-agency coordination concerning the trade of mercury. The training emphasized developing country-specific strategies, enhancing inter-agency coordination, and utilizing forensic and risk assessment tools to identify and prevent the illegal trade of mercury.

The workshop marked a significant step toward revitalizing the Malé Declaration on Control and Prevention of Air Pollution and its likely Transboundary Effects (Malé Declaration), fostering renewed regional collaboration to tackle air pollution challenges across South Asia. Key discussions included the Think Piece (Vision Paper), the Strategies and Work Programme for the Next Phase, and, in particular, the Scoping Study commissioned by SACEP to support the revival of the Malé Declaration.

The three-day "Regional Training Workshop on National Adaptation Plan: Strengthening Capacity for Multi-Sectoral Inclusion in the NAP Process" brought together approximately 30 climate change professionals, policy makers, adaptation planners and youth involved in climate action from ten countries across the Asia-Pacific region. The workshop served as a strategic platform for capacity building, peer exchange, and regional cooperation in support of robust and inclusive NAP development and implementation.

The AIT RRC.AP successfully organized the "Regional Training Workshop on Building Capacity for GCF Concept Note Development in Central, South, and Southeast Asia" from 6 to 9 May 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. This intensive four-day workshop brought together around 20 participants from seven countries. The event fostered hands-on learning, regional collaboration, and knowledge exchange to strengthen access to climate finance through the GCF.
