Hello Richard and all. Congrats on the K3 and new Logic 9. I have been using
Logic since maybe 4 back in the early 90s. Today Logic 9 talks to my
756PROIII,
K3, and 2 K2s flawlessly. Two Yaesu rotors work with it well too. 
I still learn new things about Logic on a regular basis. It is used for a
serious
search tool as well as tracking numerous awards and helping me with finding
QSLs that I do not have but need for awards etc. Not sure what I would do
without Logic. The Spot Log has found me many new ones over the years.
Logic helps make LOTW uploads and downloads very easy to use as well.
It is a very valuable tool in my shack. You will love Logic the more you use
it
and learn about it. You're gonna love that K3 too...............8>) 73

I took the plunge this week.
The communication with my K3 is great and I really like the band map. 
My only problem now is monitor real estate, I need to install a 2nd monitor.
