[LOGic] Telnet problem with demo

Ah, yes - this could indeed be the answer. I was guessing that as a demo,
mods to the ini's were not allowed. I did disable the UAC but I DID install
to the default Program Files (x86). I'll make that adjustment.
Thanks !

James, this is just a guess, but perhaps worth checking out.
Did you install LOGic in the programs folder? Most users accept Win 7's
default "programs" folder when installing new programs. Unfortunately, Win
7's User Account Control (UAC) will not let programs modify it's .ini files.
The work-around is to install in some other folder. Most guys are
installing their ham apps in a folder in the root directory of the "C"
drive.name it anything you like other than "programs." So perhaps you will
need to uninstall LOGic and then re-install it in some other folder.
Sorry...I don't know why popular Windows apps don't seem to need this
treatment. Perhaps they don't modify their .ini files. Or there is some
"exception list" generated in Redmond to allow changes. Anyone able to
answer that question?
