[LOGic] Problem List with LOGIC 8

Regarding issue 1, I have observed this with LOGic 8 on a
recent-vintage Dell Latitude laptop running the most current SP of
Win XP. The laptop is connected directly through RS-232 (no USB
conversion involved) to my Kenwood TS-2000. The symptoms are
exactly as you describe, right down to the timing (5-15 min). The
problem does not occur with LOGic 7 with the exact same
configuration and rig. I also made Dennis aware of this problem
some time ago.
Interestingly, however, the problem does NOT exist when using
LOGic 8 with an older desktop computer running Win 2K.
I now have another radio (Elecraft K3) in addition to the TS-2000,
and I'm going to experiment to see if the problem also occurs with
the K3 in the same LOGic 8 configuration as the TS-2000 is now in.
