I use this feature regularly. It is great--and has snagged me new ones I
would have missed. By the way, the "Alert!" voice is Dennis' wife.

Subject: [LOGic] LOGic Spot Log Alerts = #299 !
I just got #299 last night - C56W, The Gambia. And I owe it all to LOGic.
I saw a spot for C56W on my upstairs computer so I ran down to shack but he
was gone. Bummer!
While tuning around I overheard the C56W call a couple of 4 land (I think)
stations. When they were done I asked if I could please move the C56W
station off their frequency up or down the band 5 kc for a new one - and
these fellows got upset.
Oh well I thought, no new one tonight.
Brainstorm! - Why not add him to the Alert feature in spot log? So while I
worked on a LOGic report (an even fancier QSL card!) I let the Alert do its
thing. Bingo! Up he popped again.
Man he was weak. A good friend, and of course LOGic user, calls this an
"ESP QSO". And it was sure close to qualifying as such. But we got the
exchange in and I trust I'm in his log for my #299. Thanks Dennis!
I'll find out for sure after sending him one of my fancier QSL cards -
another great feature of LOGic.
So the moral to this story is - there is a ton of useful features in LOGic .
how many do you use?
Regards, Bill K1UQ
