[LOGic] Strange Character Ÿ when using F6 to force update.

Is anyone else occasionally –or frequently—finding that, assuming Logic’s
cursor is in a field that permits text entry—that typing an F6 to get the
current time or current frequency does not result in an update but instead
the insertion of a strange character, Ÿ, at the location of the cursor? I
saw this sometimes in LOGIC7 and now more frequently in Logic 8. Sometimes
I get an update, and sometimes I get the strange character. As this
character may be changed during emailing, it is an upper case Y with two
dots over it. Doing a force update with the menu item does work properly
but takes too long to be used in a contest.

I am running XP Pro SP2 and have seen this on 3 machines that I have used at
various times.
